A few words on Padella

I’ll get straight to the point here, you need to go to Padella. It’s a pasta bar situated in London Bridge, just around the corner from the entrance to Borough Market.

The outfit is operated by Tim Siadatan and Jordan Frieda, who between them have cooked for some of the biggest names in London’s culinary world including but not limited to, Moro, St. John, and many of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants.

Why you need to go: the food is not only excellent value but highly delivers on flavour and is simply not to be missed.

Some might grumble at the queues, but it’s honestly worth it. Ignore the noise and the hustle and bustle of such a tiny space.

Simply close your eyes and you’re transported to Italy, and you find yourself slurping pici caccio e pepe or diving into their excellent ragu, and the flavour combinations simply blow you away.

If you want somewhere a bit bigger where you can relax and take your time, you should check out Tim and Jordan’s Trullo in north London, which is also excellent.
